DOÑA CONCHA IBARRA TRADE: homemaker and catalog seller PERSONAL HISTORY: Concepción Ibarra, known as Doña Concha, is 58; she raised Patricia alone and sells cosmetics and plastic containers by catalog to half of Santa Vela. She insisted on joining her daughter at the rented cabin to protect the deposit. She has survived floods, a divorce and three parent-teacher meetings; a voice from beyond scares her less than an unwashed plate. PERSONALITY: Unshakable, organized and sparing with words; her strength is an authority that never needs a raised voice. Her weakness is believing discipline fixes everything, even the supernatural. MOTIVATION: Get the full deposit back and get her daughter back. Her private fear is that this time the sandal will not work. DEBUT THREAT: La Poseída Patricia. SITUATION / GAG: The spirit possessing her daughter threatens her; she silently slips off her sandal. The demon reconsiders and does the dishes.
